Oil/Acrylics

The realistic depiction of my subject is the foundation of my work. Years of teaching and traveling around the world expanded my experiential visions of things. I became interested in the juxtaposition of shapes and color while retaining the subject. I work with grayscale photographs that I have abstracted into shapes. I then wait for the color decisions and titles to become apparent to me. I define this method as “Abstract Realism”. I paint in series until that series releases me.
