2021 Young Artists Competition

High school students are invited to participate in the 2021 Young Artists Competition,
sponsored by the Texas Arts and Crafts Fair and the Hill Country Arts Foundation.

Prizes are $250 for “Best of Show” and $100 for category winners. Winning entries will be
exhibited at the Texas Arts and Crafts Fair on the HCAF grounds, Sept. 25-26, 2021. All other
entries will be exhibited if space allows.

The juried competition is open to students in grades 9 through 12, in public and private high
schools, in the following counties: Bandera, Edwards, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble and
Medina. Categories include:
2-dimensional traditional media
3-dimensional traditional media
Photography – film and digital (non-manipulated)
Digital art – illustration/manipulation

Applications will be accepted via email beginning May 3, 2021. Deadline to apply is May 31.
Three entries per student. All entries must include student’s email, title of piece and category,
school, art instructor, and art instructor’s email.
