My newest oil paintings capture “The Heart of the Hill Country”. During several years of full time caring for my adult family members, I began teaching myself to paint. Now I am able to paint full time and have recently been able to sell in a local art market for the first time. My inspiration and vision of life comes from my hometown of Kerrville and neighboring Hill Country communities.

An “almost” native of Kerrville, a younger Julie spent firefly and daddy longlegs summers visiting Kerrville grandparents. Later life brought her back to make her home as caregiver for adult family members and to raise her youngest child. What does she like most about Kerrville? Creating art, walking the Guadalupe river trail, sweet morning air, and generally nice people.
