Lindsay Field

My work is created by cutting sheets of glass, stacking and layering them into unique designs and then fusing them together in a kiln at 1500 degrees. All of my pieces go in the kiln at least once, if not multiple times depending upon the desired look of my design. I refine the designs using coldworking equipment such as a grinder, tile saw, drill press and sandblaster. My work is inspired by mid-century modern designs, geometric and retro patterns and architectural elements. I have created art all my life and have wanted to be an artist for as long as I can remember. I’ve always had a fascination for glass and am grateful that I get to do what I love every day.
