Glass

I primarily use sheets of transparent and opaque fusible glass to create glass art vessels, wall art and some functional pieces. My goal is to create pieces with color, texture and life. I want my pieces to make people happy and bring people as much excitement and enjoyment from looking at them daily as the planning and creating brought to me. I enjoy using dichroic, iridized glass as well as crushed glass (from pebbles to powder) as accents or to create sparkle and depth. The glass is fired in the kiln (sometimes multiple times), cold-work as necessary and then placed the glass back in the kiln for its final shaping. My work continues to grow and change. There are so many techniques left to learn and “what if I do this” scenarios left to try that I don’t think my learning will never be finished.
