When I retired from my career as a Physical Educator wearing no jewelry and sweats and T-shirts everyday to needing “real” clothes and jewelry to go with those clothes, I needed a LOT of jewelry. To ensure I had quality items, I started designing and crafting my own. There were very few choices available of genuine, natural gemstones made with precious metals, and I refused to wear plated metals and treated gemstones since I’d grown up in the jewelry business. I was also used to paying cost of what I wanted so what quality items I’d find were not the price I wanted to pay. I have very high quality standards and sell for much less than appraised value.
